Tony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher at Adelphi
In November of 2017, the Department of Theatre will take on one of the most challenging and extravagant works it has ever produced. Tony Award-winning Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). Follow his journey as he and his mates are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by an evil king. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, the story playfully explores the depths of greed and despair... and the bonds of friendship, duty and love.
Featuring actors portraying more than 100 unforgettable characters, the show uses ingenious stagecraft and the limitless possibilities of imagination to bring the story to life. The Department of Theatre has the talent, the crew and the stage to produce such a wildly theatrical adaptation for our community... But they need you to secure the rights to present the show.
Your contribution will offset the costs of the Peter and the Starcatcher performance rights. On Giving Day, we invite you to support the arts and make Peter and the Starcatcher one of the most thrilling, magical… and unforgettable… shows the AUPAC has ever seen!
